Q: How does it work?
A: Select - Swipe – Return. It’s that simple
•Browse through the movie inventory and select the title you want to rent.
•Select Buy or Rent. Swipe your credit card and take your movie.
•To return a rented movie, push return and place the movie in the return slot.

Q: How do I pay for renting a movie?
A:Your credit card is charged when you return the movie.

Q. What is the deadline for returns?
A:You can keep a movie out for as long as you want. You have until 7pm the next day after your rental to return a movie or you will be charged an additional day. You have up to 10 days to return your movie. If you do not return the movie, your credit card will automatically be charged the BUY price of the movie. The maximum of this is $27.99 DVD and $34.99 Blu Ray

Q: When are the movies updated?
A: New releases will be available for rent on Tuesday based on studio release date.

Q: What are the accepted payment methods?
A:Payment can only be made through a credit card. We accept Visa, Master Card and American Express

Q: Can I reserve a movie online before going to pick it?
A:Yes you can Sign up for an account on our website. Login to your account and search for the movie you are looking for. Reserve the movie and select the location you would like to pick up from. You have 12 hours to pick the movie up after you reserve it. Once you reserve a movie your card will be charged after 12 hours if you do not pick up.

Q Will I be charged for a movie I reserved but did not pick up?
A:Yes, charges apply from the day you reserve it regardless of if you picked it up or not. You have 12 hours to pick up the movie after you reserve it.

Q: What do I do if the movie I rented is scratched or does not work?
A:Most often, you can wipe the dirt or grease from the movie and it will work. Please call 1-866-Best-Buy if you have tried this and it does not work.

Q: How many movies can I have out at the same time?
A:You can rent up to 5 movies at the same time on one credit card.

Q: What are coupon codes? How do I get a coupon code?
A:A coupon code is a discount on a movie rental. We have promotions from time to time and as a registered kiosk member you will receive coupon codes via our email.

Q: How do I use the coupon codes?
A:Redeeming is simple:
(1) Make your movie selections at the machine.
(2) Touch "Coupon" from the Shopping Cart to apply your coupon code, press OK.
(3) Enjoy! Please note that we are currently unable to apply these promotional codes to any reservation you make on www.moviekiosk.bestbuy.ca.

Q: What will happen if I lose the movie?
A:: For a lost movie, the credit card that you rented the movie with will be automatically charged the BUY price of the movie on the 10th day the movie is checked out. The maximum of this is $27.99 DVD and $34.99 Blu Ray .

Q: How can I find out when a new movie is being released?
A:Check out the coming soon section on our website (www.moviekiosk.bestbuy.ca) or view the monthly rental calendar at the kiosk.

Q: Is my credit card information safe? What type of security protects my credit card information?
A:We use the most secure method available for transactions and all communications use 128-bit encryption. Your credit card information is not stored on the kiosk computer system. All our kiosks meet the PCI DSS compliancy requirements.

Q: Does the kiosk issue receipts?
A:The kiosk does not issue receipts. At the time that you rent a movie you can email a receipt to your inbox or if you become a member & register your credit card at www.moviekiosk.bestbuy.ca you can view your transaction history and download a receipt.

Q: How does the kiosk location know which movie I returned?
A:Each movie has a RFID tag that the machine can read to track when a movie is either rented or returned.

Q: Do I have to return the movie to the same kiosk or can I go to any kiosk and return it?
A:No, you can return the movie to any Best Buy kiosk location.

Q Why am I not receiving any receipts?
A:We email receipts to customers who add their email address at the kiosk or register their credit card on www.moviekiosk.bestbuy.ca. You may want to make sure that Best Buy is added to your mail provider's address book to ensure our emails do not end up in spam filters.

Q What information is required for me to rent a movie?
A:To rent at a kiosk, you must swipe your credit card.

Q Can I copy, burn, or transfer a Best Buy movie for personal use?
A:No, copyright laws prohibit copying or burning of rented material.

Q: What should I do if the kiosk is out of service or full and won't accept the movie?
A:We try to stay on top of such breakdowns by using software systems to constantly check our kiosks. But if you encounter any issues with the kiosk, please contact our 1-866-Best-Buy directly, 7 days a week.

Q: What happens when the kiosk inside the store is closed, and I need to return my Movie?
A:You can return your movie to any of our other locations. Go to www.moviekiosk.bestbuy.ca to find other locations. Generally all the stores are open till 7pm which is the deadline to return the movie. Beware of any holidays that may prevent you from returning the movies. If you do not want to visit another location, you can choose to keep the movie for the additional night at the regular rental fee plus tax.

Q: Are there multiple copies of a movie in a kiosk?
A:Yes, a kiosk may hold many copies of a movie depending on the demand and release date.

Q: Why do I have to provide a credit card if I have a coupon for a free movie?
A:Your credit card acts as a security deposit for the movie. It also provides a way to charge for additional days that you may want to view the movie.

Q: Is there a Best Buy Rewards Zone program with the kiosk?
A:No, at this time we do not offer Reward Zone program with the kiosk.
